The 2011 Chambolle-Musigny Village is showing just a little greenness on the nose, as if there might be some stem addition (when that is not the Domaine’s policy.) The palate is clean and fresh with fine tannin, moderate depth, classic in style with a leafy, easy-going finish. I would drink this now and over the next 6 or 7 years. Tasted at Flint Wines Burgundy 2011 tasting.

Good deep red. Musky red fruits and a whiff of pepper on the expressive nose. Juicy, bright and on the lean side, with moderate intensity but good freshness to the flavors of red berries, spices, pepper and herbs. Ultimately a supple but nicely delineated village wine, finishing with a hint of chocolate.

Lively – good energy. Dry finish but very solid and correct. Feet on the ground though. Bit dry on the end. (JR)
