Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2021 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru does not possess the mineralité or tension of Bouchard Père's Chevalier, demonstrating a bit of reduction. However, it is well defined and you feel that it might have something up its sleeve. The palate is well balanced with a very saline iodine-tinged entry. Just a bit ham fisted compared to Bouchard with a waxy-textured pithy finish. It lacks a bit of sophistication. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
