100% new oak. Barrel sample. Very dark crimson. Super-intense black fruit on the nose. Dark and chalky on the palate, the tannins very fine but multi-layered. Wonderful freshness with a lightness of touch that almost hides the intensity here. Incredibly juicy on the finish. Refined and fresh and long. (JH)
