Tasting Notes and Scores
Light, bright yellow. Aromas of white peach, noble herbs and toasty oak are lifted by a stony quality (none of these '17s show any exotic character). Fine-grained, concentrated wine with sweet flavors of stone fruits and white flowers nicely framed by harmonious acidity. This wine really benefited from the dry growing season, noted Alexandre Bachelet, who added that its pH is 3.1, about the same as that of the village Chassagne. Offers good density and grip for village wine.
Wine Independent
Aromas of ripe citrus fruit, vanilla pod and white flowers introduce the 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Village, a medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural wine that's fine-boned and elegant, with good tension, succulent acids and a giving profile, concluding with a long, pure finish.
