Tasting Notes and Scores

The 2013 Volnay Les Caillerets 1er Cru has wonderful delineation and energy on the nose with cranberry, raspberry and a subtle cassis note. The palate is slightly loaded towards the front end with superb density on the entry, svelte in texture but just tapering a little towards the finish. Still, this is a fine showing and it may improve with bottle age. Tasted at Goedhuis & Co.'s annual Burgundy tasting in London.
