The2009 Pommard Les Croix Noires is a more weightless, feminine wine laced with dark cherries, wild herbs, tobacco and sweet spices. The Croix Noires shows lovely persistence and polish, with a sweet, ethereal finish that lingers on the palate.

This has a lot of dark berried fruit on the nose with good definition, some freshly tilled earthy notes developing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, very well balanced with a fresh, red cherry and cranberry tinged finish. Tasted January 2011.
