Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2014 Corton Grand Cru takes a while to coalesce on the nose with red berry, mulberry and a sprig of heather all nicely defined. There is a touch of seaweed here. The palate is medium-bodied, quite saline on the entry with a grainy texture, good backbone and a sense of symmetry. There is a hint of bitter cherry enlivening the finish that is masculine and "correct." 'Tis a Corton not predisposed to "mucking around" and as such, it will demand 3-4 years in the cellar.
