Tasting Notes and Scores

The 2022 Beaune Les Teurons 1er Cru, the first to be picked within the appellation, offers red fruit and a touch of geranium on the nose, discrete at first and then opening nicely in the glass. The medium-bodied palate has fine tannins and black cherries mixed with light tarry, graphite notes, finishing with a hint of dryness. Fine.

Cask sample. Mid to light crimson. Much more open than the Beaune du Château. Pure, intense red fruits. Lots of lovely red fruits on the palate, too, with super-fine dry tannins. Gently chewy long finish. (JH)
