Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Le Corton Grand Cru comes from 3.60 hectares at 280 meters above sea level, at the top of the slope, and is usually the last picked. It has an elegant, attractive bouquet of brambly red fruit, burned toast, truffle and a touch of smoke. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded, fine tannin, well-judged acidity and a generous, sophisticated, lightly spiced finish. A very refined Le Corton and one of the best crus from Bouchard in 2017.

Pure redcurrant and raspberry fruit that stands up well to the oak spice. Dry, fragrant finish. Not exactly wow-ing, but it does have good concentration and intensity – and quite high alcohol on the finish. (RH)
