The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Village, matured in 15% new oak, has a perfumed bouquet with light yellow flower scents filtering through the peachy fruit. The palate is balanced with a slightly honeyed opening quite rich and Chassagne-like now with fine delineation towards the finish. Drink over the next 4-6 years.

Cask sample. Creamy lemon with some SO2 showing (typical of his samples, apparently). Deep, rich and creamy on the palate, lovely leesy texture. Deep and long, generous in the mouth but very fresh. (JH)
