Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has a very elegant, quite understated bouquet of red currant, raspberry and crushed stone scents that gain intensity in the glass. The palate is beautifully balanced with supple tannin, perfectly judged acidity and gentle grip, but there is so much tension toward the focused finish. Add in the silky-smooth texture and the sense of energy, and you have a wonderful Grand Cru. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
