The 2021 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is showing some reduction on the nose, with dark berry laced with touches of cola, missing the mineralité and complexity of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with thickset tannins, weighty but missing the flair, class and complexity expected. It feels flat-footed on the finish. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
