Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2020 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has a ripe, slightly meaty nose. There is some reduction again, though there is sufficient fruit. This feels well-defined and focused, though, with aeration, there is some indication of Brettanomyces. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly dry tannins and a light grip. It is a little conservative in style and just missing the same precision as its peers. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
