Tasting Notes and Scores

91 ST

Penetrating, cool aromas of peach and minerals, with a whiff of pineapple. Bright, juicy and refined, with a flavor of ripe nectarine perfectly framed by bright acidity. Tactile and laid-back today, but already delicious. A difficult flowering brought a small crop in these vines in 2002.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 27/02/2004 The super-spicy 2002 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseigneres is a light to medium-bodied wine of outstanding depth. Lively talcum and mineral flavors can be found in its delineated and detailed character. In addition, this wine sports a sweet, long, supple finish. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. ()

Pure and steely with some smokiness – not excessive – and very pure fruit. Superb at this point. Great balance and finesse. (JR)
