Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Echézeaux Grand Cru has tight bouquet at first, a mixture of red and black fruit joined by hints of seaweed and mudflats that emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit and a fine bead of acidity. Quite linear in style and perhaps lacking a little weight on the finish. There is a pleasant saline aftertaste, but it needs more presence and authority.
