Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a fresh, delineated bouquet of kirsch, red currants, blood orange and even a soupçon of marmalade. The palate is tart and fleshy on the entry and quite piquant in style, offering peppery red berry fruit toward the finish, which shows commendable substance and freshness. A little showy, but in the positive sense of the word. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.
