Bursting with aromas of dark berries, blood orange, rich soil and sapid nuances, the 2016 Corton Les Maréchaudes Grand Cru is full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a deep core of fruit, chalky structuring tannins and a somewhat chunky profile that reflects its situation at the bottom of the hill of Corton's grand cru sector.

(50% vendange entier ; from vines planted in 1975): Healthy dark red. Very ripe, tangy, alluring aromas of black raspberry, licorice, spices and black pepper lifted by a delicate floral element. Wonderfully fine-grained, savory and vibrant, with intense berry fruit energized by saline minerality. An elegantly styled Corton grand cru with terrific definition but no shortage of richness. Finishes vibrant and long, with harmonious, smooth tannins.
