Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2014 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru has an attractive bouquet with apple blossom, white peach and a hint of toffee apple on the nose that displays more gumption than others that I have encountered from barrel. The palate is very well balanced with a crisp line of acidity. There is a touch of salinity here, good weight in the mouth with dried honey and quince towards the long finish. This is a classy Corton-Charlemagne.
