The 2021 Corton Le Rognet Grand Cru is terrific. It has just enough depth to balance the more angular leanings of the year. Layered and enveloping, with lovely aromatic intensity, the Rognet opens beautifully in the glass. Hints of blood orange, red berry fruit, white pepper and rose petal all grace this finely cut, nuanced Corton from Bruno Clavelier. The 2021 is promising. - Antonio Galloni
