Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2018 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru is the first wine in this range of 2018s that is truly refined. Weightless and nuanced, with an almost airy feel to it, the Blanchot is sublime. At just 0.10 hectares, the Blanchot is Moreau's smallest holding, so the wine is fermented and aged in barrel, but the oak is not at all evident - and that is why Blanchot is a Grand Cru. Exotic floral notes, lemon confit, chamomile and dried flowers are some of the many aromatics that grace this exquisite, inviting Chablis from Moreau.
