Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a little reduction on the nose that blows away with aeration to reveal smoke and gunflint scents and a touch of spice. The fresh, vibrant palate is well balanced, with a fine bead of acidity and impressive precision on the finish that bodes well for the future. Excellent. Tasted at the annual Burgfest tasting.

(this wine had not yet been blended but Fabien Moreau created a representative sample from barrel and tank; picked four days early owing to the hailstorm--"before the grapes turned," according to Moreau): Aromas of lemon zest and chlorophyll. Offers good texture to the flavors of lemon zest and licorice. The tight, citrussy finish is slightly hard-edged in the early going.
