Tasting Notes and Scores
(bottled at the beginning of April): Pale yellow. Yellow fruits, ripe apple, white flowers, warm stones and mirabelle on the nose, complemented by toasty, spicy oak and a nutty nuance; the freshest and most complex of these 2013s. Plush and smooth on the palate, with flavors of menthol, white flowers and cinnamon building nicely toward the back and finishing with a hint of blond tobacco. Harmonious acidity gives the wine very good balance and a rising finish. (Incidentally, this was the only Château de Puligny-Montrachet that was made in Etienne de Montille's cellar in Meursault along with his Domaine de Montille and Deux Montille wines.)

Apples and not that intense on the nose. Tense and dense on the palate with some density. A little dead today. (JR)
