Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru consists of 4.5 barrels this year, two of them new. It has a very elegant bouquet with bountiful red cherry, strawberry and pomegranate scents that are neatly knitted together and gain intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with black and red fruit, tangy marmalade and quince, a pleasant saline note and plenty of white pepper towards the finish. While it does not quite possess the harmony and complexity of Remy's Latricières-Chambertin this year, it should give a decade's worth of drinking pleasure.
