The 2013 Chambolle-Musigny is pliant and expressive in the glass, with round, silky tannins in support of the voluptuous fruit. The Chambolle is a bit more generous through the mid-palate and finish, with plenty of classic Chambolle red-toned fruit and lovely overall balance.

The 2013 Chambolle-Musigny Village (négoçiant bottling) has a lilting, well-defined bouquet: clean and pure. The palate is supple and clean with bright red cherries and fresh strawberry with a harmonious, svelte finish. This is one of my favorites from Dujac's négoçiant range and will be well worth looking out for.

Palish red. Perfumed aromas of candied raspberry and stone. Suppler than the Gevrey but with good juicy lift to the fruit-driven flavors of pomegranate, raspberry and red cherry. Finishes with energetic, lingering red fruits and an accent of white pepper. Made with 65% whole clusters.

Fresh and airy aromas are composed by notes of herbal tea, red currant, cherry, lilac and soft wood nuances. There is a lacy but intense mouth feel to the delicious lighter weight flavors that exhibit an evident minerality on the ever-so-slightly lean finish. This is on the lighter side but is very Chambolle in character.

The vines for this wine come mainly from the Morey end. Bright crimson. Light but very bright. Real definition and precision. Lightly chewy on the end. (JR)
