Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet Champgains conveys more the growing season than the terroir , displaying attractive peach and light apricot scents but less in the way of mineralité , and none of those crushed stone scents coming through. The palate is well balanced with quite an effervescent opening, offering light canned peach, nectarine and stem ginger scents with satisfying persistence on the finish. Thoroughly enjoyable, if not intellectual. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (DIAM 30 closure)
