Smoky charry nose with great balance and no ersatz sweetness. Real energy and great balance. Also tasted 7 Jan 2010. Score 17.5 Drink 2013-20: Much headier and riper than Drouhin-Laroze’s other wines. Positively rich. Lively but with good spread of fruit and real terroir singing out. Good structure too. Presumably this is the prize for buying this domaine’s wines. (JR)
