Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is showing brilliantly, wafting from the glass with notes of red berries and cherries mingled with incense, rose petals, spices and peonies. Full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it's seep and multidimensional, with a concentrated core of fruit and a long, resonant finish.

Blended with 25% whole bunches, the 2022 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru takes time to unfurl on the nose. It’s quite backward but well-defined with raspberry, wild strawberry, sous-bois and crushed stone. The palate is well-balanced with fine-grain tannins, fresh and lightly spiced, gaining depth towards the finish. Good vigor and persistence - this is a classy Clos-de-Bèze.

Cask sample. Appealing, ripe, open and enticing on the nose. Deep colour, hint of fresh mint and some leafiness. Fine-grained tannins, crisp acidity, dark ripe plum and cherry fruit. Plenty of upside potential. (AWH)
