Tasting Notes and Scores

91 ST

Good dark red. Very shy nose hints at crushed stone, menthol, flowers and licorice. Then surprisingly round and charming in the mouth, with a distinctly silky, open-knit texture to the fat dark berry fruit. Not hugely complex but developing nicely. This should give pleasure early.

A discreet application of wood combines with an agreeably fresh mix of various wild red berries, pungent earth and floral nuances. There is good richness to the supple and quite pure middle weight flavors that possess plenty of energy on the long, balanced, serious and complex finish. Drink: 2019+
