Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a glorious, vibrant bouquet of dark cherries, blue fruit and light violet aromas that could only come from this appellation. The palate is very well balanced, conveying good weight and vigor and revealing hints of white pepper and clove toward the finish. One of the best Village Crus from Drouhin this year. Recommended.

The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village exhibits pretty aromas of raspberries, dried flowers and blood orange. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with nice concentration, tangy acids and a pure, mineral finish. This is an excellent example of the appellation.

Cask sample. Mid crimson. Prettily fragrant with dark-red fruit and a gentle, attractive dustiness. Scented on the palate too even though it is all tied up in the structure at the moment. Needs time to open up but it has real elegance and impressive length and there's pretty fruit tucked in at the core. (JH)
