The 2020 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has a tightly wound, stony bouquet that gradually unfurls in the glass. This is nuanced, but there is real complexity here. The palate is nicely balanced with a lightly spiced entry. Thanks to the hot summer, it is slightly viscous on the mid-palate, yet it retains sufficient freshness and tension on the finish to tempt you back for more. This is a well-crafted Chablis Grand Cru. The 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir is charming and enveloping, wafting from the glass with aromas of crisp peach, pear, hazelnut, clear honey, white flowers and beeswax. Full-bodied, layered and satiny, with racy acids and a sensual, charming profile, it concludes with a long, saline finish.
