Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru is the usual blend of Perrière and Craipillot. The bouquet offers bright red and blue fruit, quite floral, yet I feel not quite as well-knit as the La Marie cuvée. The palate is quite linear and strict on the entry, with a hint of oyster shell, fresh and crunchy in texture, finishing with a dash of black pepper. It gets better as it goes along. Give this 4-5 years in bottle.
