Here too there is discreet wood serving as a backdrop to the notably ripe cassis, black cherry and distinct floral elements. There is good energy and punch to the medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent depth and concentration while displaying a very firm, detailed and irreproachably well-balanced finish. The basic personality is on the restrained side with plenty of classic Gevrey character and while the Combottes is a lovely wine, there is just another dimension present here. Drink: 2022+
