Tasting Notes and Scores

92-94 ST

(from vines planted in 1980 and 1983; one-third from Mazoyeres) Bright red-ruby. Sexy, nuanced nose melds blackberry, spices, violet, faded rose and caramel. Lush and full but fresh, with a compelling sweetness leavened by a hint of eucalyptus. Finishes very long, subtle and harmonious, with a broad dusting of fine tannins. This was vinified with one-third of its stems.
