Tasting Notes and Scores

91-94 ST

(two-thirds Charmes and one-third Mazoyères; just one-third vendange entier): Bright, dark red-ruby. Wild aromas of black and blue fruits accented by rose petal and sweet spices. Suppler in texture than the Lavaux (due to a lower percentage of stems?), in a distinctly round, horizontal style but with good energy and lift. Fleshy dark fruit and floral flavors are sweet and persistent, with ripe, chewy tannins providing shape. Very harmonious grand cru.
