Tasting Notes and Scores
Deep ruby-red. Musky aromas of black cherry, violet, licorice and bitter chocolate. Powerful, densely packed and penetrating, showing less early sweetness than the Lavaux-Saint-Jacques but coming across as remarkably thick and full for a 2014. A bit oaky in the early going but one can already appreciate this wine's grand cru depth. Finishes with big, dusty, even tannins and terrific chewy persistence. This wine boasts lovely balance but will nonetheless require extended aging.
