Tasting Notes and Scores
Less exotic on the nose than the Petits Charrons, with a mineral element lifting the aromas of lemon oil and flowers. A sappy, rocky, chalky style with a flavor of bergamot orange. Harmonious acidity gives the middle palate a silky texture. Finishes firm-edged and long. A lovely Meursault in the making.

The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru has a slightly muddled bouquet that is not as clean as others in this flight of Meursaults. The palate is saline on the entry with moderate depth, quite linear in style, and almost Puligny-like toward the finish. It just lacks the personality and sophistication that I think its 2014 equivalent would bring. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
