Tasting Notes and Scores
Bright ruby-red. High-pitched aromas of blackberry, licorice and violet, with a note of bitter chocolate emerging with air. More saline and tightly wound than the regular village wine; dense, thick and dry but not austere. This very backward wine could hardly be more different from Esmonin's other village Gevrey. It will need extended aeration if you plan to drink it soon--or, better yet, give it four or five years in the cellar.
