Tasting Notes and Scores

90-94 ST

Superb deep-ruby color. Brooding aroma of black raspberry, smoke and mint. Sweet, bright and very intensely flavored, but currently rather musclebound. The finish verges on painful, with very firm tannins that avoid dryness. This rather tough wine, which Faiveley describes as "stiff-necked, Bordelais," seemed to go into a shell in the glass. Very strong potential.
