Tasting Notes and Scores

Allen Meadows

Burghound

Deep ruby-red. Tight nose hints at black cherry, violet, licorice, fresh herbs and mint; very Clos Vougeot. Creamy on entry, then quite primary and youthful in the middle, with very good density but a youthful toughness. Quite bright and delineated for young Clos Vougeot but firmly tannic today. A bit tougher on the back than the Latricieres, but long.
