Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru has a pastille-like purity on the nose, where morello cherries, orange blossom and crushed strawberry unfurl nicely with aeration. The cohesive palate is well-balanced with fine-grained tannins, nicely judged acidity and a grippy finish. It doesn’t want to come out and play today, but it has the focus and backbone to suggest it will drink well for a number of years. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

Barrel sample. Mid cherry red. Prettily fragrant. Both red-fruited and lightly floral plus a light peppery scent. Such fine tannins and overall harmony even without particular intensity. Compact tannins and good length. (JH)
