Tasting Notes and Scores
Dark red cherry, plum and spice notes flesh out in the 2012 Chambolle-Musigny Les Echanges. Beautifully resonant in the glass, the 2012 is a bit richer and fatter than the wines Jean-Marie Fourrier makes under his domaine label, but all the elements are in the right place. Above all else, the 2012 Echanges is immediate, racy and drop-dead gorgeous. Fourrier adds that the Echanges is a bit bigger than his own wines because the grower deleafed and Fourrier did not. Regardless, this is a fabulous wine.

His mother used to play in this vineyard, next to Gruenchers, as a child. Firm crimson. Quite firm and sturdy with bitter cherry flavours. Very chewy end. The most severe finish of all the Fourrier wines. (JR)
