Tasting Notes and Scores

The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin En Billards comes from vines planted in the 1980s that tend to ripe a little quicker than other parcels. Baked black cherries commingle with subtle licorice scents on the nose that gradually unfolds in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and quite linear in style with fine tannins. This is a little spicier than Galeyrand's other cuvees with a healthy sprinkling of white pepper on the finish. It is very fine.
