Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2020 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a tightly-knit, conservative nose, more Latricières-like in style, missing some joie-de-vivre and energy. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly coarse tannins, moderate depth, but more like an average Premier Cru in concentration than a Grand Cru. So-so.

The oak stands out at the moment but this has an extra level of refinement compared with the Gevreys from this address. Dark cherry and damson fruit. Concentrated, layered and fine. Lingering spice notes to finish. (AWH)
