Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2023 Meursault Village is a blend of several lieux-dits, some of the best in the appellation. This opens nicely with lime flower, lemon thyme and touches of candle wax on the nose. It has good complexity. The palate is very well balanced with a smooth texture, lightly spiced with a touch of orange rind, white pepper and Szechuan pepper on the finish that leaves the mouth tingling. This is excellent.

From a total of 2 ha spread across Meursault: Les Pellans, Au Moulin Judas, Les Vireuils, Les Peutes Vignes, Clos de Cromin and La Barre Dessus. Cask sample. Mid lemon. Quite ripe fruit of lemon, apple and pear. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity and well-integrated oak. Neither plump nor excessively mineral. (MH)

Cask sample. Bright citrus with the merest hint of struck match. Powerful for a village wine and just in balance. Slightly hard on the finish. (JH)
