Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2020 Chablis Dessus La Carrière has a slightly reduced nose, but one can still gauge the concentration in this Chablis. Touches of honeysuckle and melted wax eventually emerge. The palate is fresh and saline on the entry, then a little herbaceous, strict and linear, with a fine bead of acidity and bitter lemon defining the finish. Another strict old-school Chablis from Didier Picq that should age with style.

Pale lemon colour. The nose is a little suppler than Vaudécorse, this builds slowly and then opens out beautifully, just a little more flesh and less youthful bitters. Will be accessible within two years but has excellent keeping potential, a trait of Didier Picq’s wines. Very persistent. Tasted Jul 2021.
