Tasting Notes and Scores

96 WS

Wine Spectator

93.5 ST

(bottled in September of 2001; the other Girardin grand crus were bottled in March of this year) Aromas of minerals, mint, spices, hazelnut and oak char. Juicy, bright and highly aromatic in the mouth, with lime, mint and stony elements nicely framed by bracing acidity. Finishes long and subtle, with spice and mineral notes. Livelier and more precise than the 2001 version.

17.5 JR

Big, bold, hazelnuts on the nose. Weight and clarity on the palate. Streak of lemon adds zest to this mouthfilling wine. (JR)
