Here the nose is a bit more expressive with a discreet application of wood spice highlighting the earth and underbrush-suffused ripe dark berry aromas that precede the rich, intense and big-bodied flavors that culminate in a linear and velvety yet youthfully austere finish that goes on and on. This is a relatively expansive Echézeaux yet it remains focused and tight and this too should benefit from at least a decade of cellar time.
