Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Lavières has an intriguing bouquet that takes time to open in the glass, offering fruit that is a little darker and earthier than the Les Charmois. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannin and lifted acidity, and quite sharp and pointed. A surfeit of citrus-like freshness emerges toward the lively finish, and hints of Moroccan spice appear on the aftertaste. This is a sensual and utterly seductive wine in the making.

Introvert but tense and convincing. Lots and lots buried in here and the balance is excellent. Promises well. Ready to gently divulge more and more, I think. Admirably long. (JR)

Light crimson. Subtly scented. So pretty, so fragrant. Creamy texture, utterly charming and yet has impressive depth and length. I could drink this now. (JH)
