The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru has a light, fragrant floral bouquet with red cherry fruit and a green edge indicating the coolness of the growing season. Quite charming initially, though it becomes diffuse with aeration. The palate is well balanced with fresh tannins and quite high-pitched, verging on shrill acidity that defines the finish, which is too bitter for my taste. Plus, there is a tinny element on the aftertaste. This is a disappointment after such a wonderful showing from barrel. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
