Grivot’s 2011 Vosne-Romanée is a sexy, open radiant wine. Red stone fruits and sweet spices are some of the nuances that flesh out in this inviting, village-level Vosne.

A notably spicy red and black pinot fruit suffused nose leads to suave, round and complex medium weight flavors that display fine depth and length on the textured, indeed even polished finish. This is a lovely villages that should drink well young but age well too. Drink: 2016+

Bright full red. Slightly reduced aromas of red fruits and musky spices. Round, ripe and moderately deep, with black cherry and herbal flavors offering a restrained sweetness. Finishes with dusty tannins and a lightly medicinal menthol quality.

Quite rich and really very dense and exciting. Racy and fruity. No deadness on the end. (JR)
